1. What equipment will be required by riders?
Riding hats conforming to British Safety Standards are provided by Ferring Country Centre. Riders, if they wish, can bring their own riding hats but these must be constantly checked to ensure that they meet current safety requirements. Riders should wear loose fitting clothing to allow ease of movement. Jodphur trousers, tracksuits or jeans are recommended. Shoes or boots with a low heel must be worn for safety. Trainers, skirts and shorts are not suitable for riding.

3. Where, how and when?
Riders are brought to the centre either by their parents, carers, key workers, schools or care facilities. The sessions take place at Ferring Country Centre, either in our indoor school or our outdoor arena, within our grounds or the nature trail, or hacking in the village/country lanes (this is dependent on the type of lesson and the riders ability). Our application process will need to be completed prior to the initial assessment session at which time you will have the chance to discuss the aims and benefits of Riding Therapy. A waiting list is in operation and assessment sessions are undertaken as soon as practically possible.
