Please help us raise a further £500,000 to provide a purpose built café and visitor centre which will ensure continuing opportunities to adults with learning disabilities.

Our vision for the future includes helping many more adults with learning disabilities to learn work and life skills. These will help them develop, understand the workplace model and obtain a variety of social and practical skills. Our customers will gain experience in all work related matters including social interaction, work etiquette and financial responsibility.

We need a purpose built visitor area to allow us more space and make available more bespoke training and learning facilities for our customers which in turn will offer better facilities to the local community.

We need your help and support to raise donations!

Planning for this development was approved early in 2017, we have already designated £510,000 of funds to this project. This appeal will enable us build a new café, visitor centre and public toilets.

With your support the purpose built Visitor Centre will be:

  •  a vibrant and sustainable space for people with disabilities to discover and develop new skills in stimulating environment
  • a place for the community – increase the number of families, visitors and businesses who can  visit, support and  engage with people with disabilities
  • environmentally sustainable with minimised running costs, e.g. rain harvesting and solar powered, to ensure the longevity of the services it contains
  • An environment where adults with learning disabilities could find meaningful employment
  • inspiring giving confidence, purpose and equip customers with the skills needed to transform their own lives and become more financially independent.

This new project will provide an extra 208 days of support every year to adults with learning disabilities and will include a café, shop area and toilet facilities for up to 80 visitors.
