Equine Volunteers required

Ferring Country Centre is an independent charity that exists to support adults with learning disabilities. Our Riding Therapy Unit offers both those with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities the opportunity to access horse-based activities.

We are looking for Volunteers who are willing to be involved in the Riding Therapy sessions on weekday mornings from 9:00am until 12:15am.  These sessions would include preparing and leading the horses. A huge part of the sessions is helping the staffing team to ensure that our disabled riders get the very best from their Therapy Sessions and leave with a big smile on their face!

Can you:

  • Commit to at least one morning per week?
  • Work confidently around horses
  • connect with people on all different levels

Volunteering gives you:

  • an easy way to gain experience and confidence
  • the opportunity to learn and enhance new skills
  • the chance to add to your CV and gain professional references
  • a huge sense of achievement
