On Monday 21st March, we were delighted to welcome Worshipful Brothers Jason McCreanney and Ross Everett from Ferring Contemporary Lodge, to Ferring Country Centre. It was a beautiful, spring morning and Sam Kirk, Head of Commercial, accompanied the gentlemen for a sunny tour around the Centre.

The men were very interested in both the Day Service and commercial aspects of the Centre. They enjoyed seeing the farm and met some of the Day Service Customers by the new allotment and orchard field. They were also impressed with the indoor riding school and were pleased to meet some of our gentle horses.

Jason and Ross were representing the L9976 Ferring Contemporary Lodge, one of the latest Lodges to join the Sussex family of Freemasonry. Despite Covid making fund raising events difficult, the lodge have raised £250 which they kindly decided to donate to Ferring Country Centre. It was, therefore, fitting that they should witness first hand where their money will be put to good use. The kindness and generosity of such donations enables us to provide opportunities for local adults with learning disabilities that attend Ferring Country Centre daily.

At a time when it is difficult not to focus on the bad in the world, it is heart warming to recognise that good, caring people are doing what they can to make life a little brighter for others in their community. So, a big ‘thank you’ from the whole team at Ferring!
