Visit Dales Farm
Join us for an action-packed farm day out the whole family will enjoy.
Follow the nature trail and discover all our friendly farm animals, both big and small (and fluffy). With our jumping pillow, sandpit, go-karts and exciting play areas to explore, your little ones will enjoy endless entertainment at Dales Farm.
As if that wasn’t enough, your entry fee also helps provide life-changing experiences for people with learning disabilities, many of whom also help out on the farm.
For the wellbeing of our animals, dogs aren’t permitted on Dales Farm or in the picnic and play areas. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the other areas of Ferring Country Centre. Fully registered assistance dogs in a harness are always welcome.
We offer free entry for carers accompanying a guest who requires support. To qualify, please present valid proof of eligibility to a member of staff on arrival. Accepted forms of evidence include a Compass Card, Gateway Card, i-Go Card, or a DLA letter.

Frequently asked questions
What are Dales Farm’s opening hours?
How much does farm entry cost?
Single farm entry is £7.50 and under 2s go free. We also offer a family ticket (4 people) for £28 and twilight entry (after 3.30pm) for £5.50. Visit our tickets page to book. Carers go free – simply show us a form of ID when you arrive.
Do you offer concessions for groups, like schools or OAPs and community groups?
We offer bookings for groups and schools. Support staff go free. Please contact us to arrange your group booking.
How accessible is the farm?
We have disabled parking bays located near to the entrance and the farm itself is accessible for wheelchair users.
As we’re a rural setting, we have some gravel and stoney paths on the farm’s nature trail. This might make it a bit tricky for some self-propelled wheelchairs. Contact us before your visit if you want to talk about any specific requirements.
What footwear should I wear on the farm?
Can I feed and touch the animals?
Please avoid feeding the animals on Dales Farm, even grass, as they could be on special diets. Rest assured they receive all the food and care they need from us to keep them happy and healthy.
Most of our animals are friendly and if they approach you to say “hello”, they might enjoy a gentle stroke between the ears. If the animal turns away for any reason, it’s their way of saying “no thanks”. Please respect their space – even the friendliest of animals can nip if they’re uncomfortable. Sometimes, we’ll ask you not to touch certain animals and this will be clearly indicated by signs on their enclosures. This helps ensure their comfort and your safety.
Don’t forget to wash your hands thoroughly before and after interacting with the animals to maintain good hygiene and prevent the spread of germs.
If you’d like to get a bit more hands-on, you can book a pony experience, a guinea pig experience and keeper for the day experience. Find out more and book one of our animal experiences via our online shop.
Can I take my dog onto Dales Farm?
