Simon has generously donated this lovingly hand sculpted duck to Ferring Country Centre to raise funds for our Duck Pond Refurbishment. This beautiful duck could be proudly standing in your home or garden all for the cost of a raffle ticket!
Our cheeky ducks have been delighting our visitors and Day Service Customers in their current natural pond area in Dales Farm for many years. Over the past few years, we have adapted how we keep our birds safe with environmental risks present such as avian bird flu.
Our new plans include a larger shelter, with an additional indoor pond. This will provide enrichment for our ducks if when we instructed to keep them fully enclosed, by the Animal and Plant Health Agency. The shelter will also ensure safety and protection against evening predators, such as foxes. And provide a more accessible working environment for our Day Service Customers who are unable to assist in the pond enclosure with its current arrangement.
