Bird Boxes

In January, a group of our Day Service Customers rose to the challenge, putting their woodworking skills into practice, to build and fit new bird boxes in our aviary on Dales Farm.
The boxes were built from wood kindly donated by John Barnes (J R Barnes Property Services).
The results were amazing and our birds quickly made themselves at home.
Our Woodwork Workshop provides an opportunity for Day Service Customers to learn practical skills by designing and building woodwork projects. A wide range of these skills are transferable to other everyday activities and examples of our woodwork projects are available to see and purchase in our gift shop.
‘It made me feel good building them and putting them up. The birds liked them and went in straightaway’.
February update: There are eggs in the bird boxes! (Well...it WAS Valentine's Day last week! ❤️
