JOB TITLE: Support Worker (30 hours)


Job Description

As a Support Worker you will directly support our Day Service customers, some of whom may have complex needs, enabling them to access the Centre’s facilities and activities in a safe, positive and person-centred way.

You will work across our site, leading activities and supporting Day Service customers in our stables, farm, catering (canteen and café), horticultural and classroom settings.  You will also support customers to access, and engage with, the broader community, including activities off site.

Our Support Workers, alongside our Day Service customers, directly assist our commercial staff in tasks such as equine care, animal husbandry, horticulture and catering.

Normal hours will be 30 per week, working Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 3.15pm (to include a half-hour unpaid break).

Knowledge of learning disabilities and experience in a social care setting are desirable, though not essential.

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) check.
