Lesson/ Hack Guidelines

If you would like to be considered for riding Lessons, you must create an account through our online booking system and complete the rider information.  Once we have received your information, a member of our team will contact you to progress your request.

All riders must book a half hour private assessment before joining a group lesson or hack.

Riders must be over 4 years of age.

The weight limit for our riders is 13st (including riding hat etc).

Riding hats to be worn at all times when riding. These must meet the current safety standards.

Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn. Your lesson may take place outdoors so please ensure you have dressed for the weather!

We run a 48 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations made with 48 hours’ notice or more, will be refunded.

Beach rides are subject to tide times.

Our horses are well schooled and well-mannered and experienced in all types of lessons including riding therapy.

Our new onsite café is almost ready to open and Dales Farm is open to the public with online booking in advance.

COVID Guidelines

Please do not attend the centre if you or someone in your household feel unwell or show symptoms of Covid 19. Call us and we will reschedule your lesson.

You must wash your hands at the hand washing station when you arrive and when you leave our Centre.

Social distancing must be adhered to at all times.

On arrival for your lesson, we will take your temperature, if it is raised we will ask you to go home and reschedule your lesson.

Staff will show you the designated route to the riding arena. It is important you stick to this route please.

Your horse will be ready and waiting for you. All tack will be cleaned in between lessons.

If at any point we need to come closer that 1 metre to you staff will wear protective personal equipment.

We are unable to offer jumping lessons or work without stirrups just yet

Riders need to be able to mount and dismount without staff support to enable social distancing.

Riders need to be able to control the horse/pony at walk and trot without a leader. Group lessons are only allowed 6 people in total in the arena including the instructor, this means that for now we will not have assistants in the school during lessons.

Riders must wear clean gloves.

A correctly fitted approved riding hat must be worn, it is strongly recommended to have your own hat. Hat hire is available for £1. For hygiene purposes we will also supply a hat liner which must be worn under the hat.

Only one spectator allowed from your household.
